Hi Leigh
Welcome to the February Newsletter!
The Pennant Season is well underway, and Kurri is leading the charge!
After four rounds, our A Grade team remains undefeated following a strong win over Muswellbrook at The Vintage Golf Club last Sunday. They return home this Sunday to take on Maitland Golf Club.
Our B Grade side, under the guidance of Hayden Buxton, is also performing well. After two rounds they remain undefeated and will face Hunter Valley at Paterson Golf Club this Sunday. With both teams unbeaten heading into Round 3, it promises to be a fantastic contest.
C Grade played at Kurri on Sunday and secured a 3/2 victory over Singleton. They now progress to the Final against Singleton this Sunday at Paterson Golf Club. The Final tees off at 7:30am, and we wish the Kurri team, led by Dave Pinnington, all the very best.
Our Seniors enjoyed their first win of the season last Sunday, defeating Dungog 2/1. They head into this Sunday’s match against Hunter Valley at Cypress Lakes full of confidence.
Best of luck to all teams this weekend. If you have the opportunity, head out to Paterson Golf Club to support our C Grade side in their Final.
Club Representatives
Congratulations to Josh Stig and Mandy Dickson, who travelled to Sydney to represent Kurri after winning our 2025 Club Championships.
Josh competed in the NSW Medal at Oatlands Golf Club and Strathfield Golf Club, while Mandy played at Manly Golf Club. Both represented the club proudly, played some excellent golf, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience
Australia Day Ambrose
Our Australia Day Ambrose was another fantastic day at the club.
Junior Golf Update
We are currently experiencing a boom in Junior Golf, which is wonderful to see.
To ensure a positive and supportive competition environment, the Golf Committee has reinforced that Junior Members must be accompanied by an adult member within their playing group when participating in any Club Competition.
You will now notice the following on the timesheets:
• Ladies – Red text
• Male Members – Black text
• Junior Members – Blue text
If you have the opportunity to play with our talented juniors, please assist with their development by helping them understand the rules and etiquette of the game. We kindly ask that swing instruction be left to the professional staff.
