Late Cancellations – Respect your fellow Members.
With full timesheets and some waitlists, it is very frustrating that some Members are booking and not turning up.
Please cancel early if someone books for you and you know you will not play or if you booked and circumstances have changed and you know you cannot play. If you are ill or injured call as soon as possible. Thursday is better than Friday and Friday is better than Saturday and cancelling early Saturday morning is better than a NO SHOW.
In future No Shows will receive one warning. A second offence will result in a one month suspension from booking in all competition events. After that any offence will result in referral to the Board for its consideration of further disciplinary action.
Tee Times
With increased demand for tee times and waiting lists being used on several days it has been decided to move back to 8 minute intervals.
To avoid pace of play issues make sure you keep up with the group in front at all times.
Slow Play
There have been several slow play issues in recent weeks and months after a long period of very few issues. Nobody enjoys a slow round.
While it is always the responsibility of the lowest marker to ensure the group keeps up with the group in front, if this is not happening then other members of the group must make it happen. If a group falls more than one hole behind they can be asked to skip a hole.
We will monitor slow play more closely again. All players in a slow group will get a warning. Repeat offenders will have their booking rights restricted.
Family Day – Date set for October 19
It has been decided to incorporate the Husband and Wife Trophy competition into a new Magenta Family Day later this year.
In addition to the Husband and Wife, there will be a Siblings Trophy and an Intergenerational Trophy. All will be 2BBB comps.
At least one of each pair must be a Magenta Member and all players must have a Magenta recognized GA, i.e. excluding social and online clubs GAs.
“In-laws” are eligible for the Intergenerational and Siblings Trophies.
Start planning your family involvement now. Tee times from 11.00am.
