Easter Update to Members - April 2026

The Easter long weekend is upon us, the weather has moderated and the course is in great shape.  For Member enjoyment there will be competitions run each day:
•	Friday – all-in stableford
•	Saturday – monthly medal
•	Sunday – all-in stableford
•	Monday – all-in stableford
Participation in all-in stableford competitions is optional.
 
On Tuesday 7 April the Club is introducing an additional weekly stableford competition on a trial basis.  Initially an ‘all-in’ competition which, if the number of participants is sufficient, may become a graded competition.  We encourage members to consider this additional option, particularly given the popularity of our Wednesday competitions.
Also please note that from 7 April the MiScore app should automatically update to a better user experience version, so allow some time for that to happen before commencing play.  The benefits of the new app can be found here:

On Monday 13 April we will again host a Masters Tournament Breakfast - details are as per the below:

Following some feedback from members, the Board at its meeting last night reviewed the allocation of range balls and decided on the following arrangements for this membership year.  
Members will receive the current annual allocation of 120 buckets of 40 balls for the following categories of membership - Individual, Family Discount, Midweek, 9 hole, Ambassador, Life, Junior and Intermediate categories.  Lifestyle and International members will receive range allocations with their points and Mentored Juniors will share from their mentor's  allocation.
The Board reinstated the 40 balls per bucket and removed the “one bucket per day” rule and instead multiple buckets can be obtained on any day but once the total of 120 buckets have been used in the membership year additional buckets will be $15 per bucket of 40, as is currently the case.  After Easter, the ball machine will display a counter with the remaining bucket allocation available.

Membership subscriptions must be paid by the due date on the invoice, 14 April.  After that date Member entitlements will be curtailed until the subscription is paid.  Any Member who has not yet paid is encouraged to do so well before the middle of this month.  For those Members who paid in full by 31 March the gift points will be allocated to their account later this month and then available for redemption via the golf shop.

The Member guest green fee rate of $100 applies from 1 April.  This rate had not changed for several years and is more in keeping with current market.

We also want to advise Members that next week the course management team will be replacing the old Legend turf on several tees with Santa Ana, in keeping with the rest of the course.  Holes affected are 12 & 13 red tees, 14 & 16 black, blue and white tees.  Please stay off newly established turf as we take advantage of the end of the growing season.

I want to send a personal thank you to you and your team for hosting the 2026 Women's Australian Classic. I was able to stay on course again this year and really embrace the entire community that Magenta Shores has to offer. I thoroughly enjoy the golf course and couldn't be happier to walk away from the week with my very first LET tournament victory. 
Your team was incredibly helpful throughout the event and I commend your leadership. 
I hope to return to Magenta in 2027 to defend my title!
