Pro Shop Update - August 2025

Pro-Shop News:

Firstly, we hope this newsletter finds you all well and we are truly excited to offer Members some fantastic new initiatives. For example, we now operate the Nearest the Pins via Mi-Score. So, if you’re the closest shot to the pin on Par-3’s, simply punch in your distance (measuring can be conducted from the tape measure attached to the flagstick) into the Mi-Score App, which should be a flashing icon at the lower-middle of your screen (as per below image).

Furthermore, we now have an Eagles Nest on #12 hole (not an NTP), which to be eligible our shots need to be 25-cms or nearer. If no one wins on the day, this prize accumulates each event. So, if the Eagles Nest hasn’t been won for 14-events. Then it is won on the 15th event, that winner receives $150 credit.

Advice:

If you can, please kindly update the MSG&CC App on your phone. As this will provide you with the latest version.

Magenta Shores Legends PGA Pro-Am

New Driving Range Dispenser:

We are happy to launch the new (UK made) driving range dispenser and after a week of trialling and testing, we have decided to amend the original complimentary offering to Full, 9-hole, Mid-Week, Intermediate and Junior Members of 80-buckets x 60-range ball buckets per year, to now 120-buckets x 40-range ball buckets. Due to members not all requiring 60-balls when they warm-up before a round of golf. Please note, Lifestyle and International Members still are entitled to 16 x complimentary range buckets per year.

With that noted, please kindly follow the below options to retrieve your complimentary range ball buckets.

1) Firstly, download the Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club App.

2) Please ensure a bucket is placed in the lower-middle compartment.

3) Click on the Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club App.

4) Press Members login (upper left heart shaped icon).

5) Scroll down to “Membership Card” and press.

6) Turn QR code and face it to camera (lower right side of digital screen).

7) Then press 40-range ball icon on ball dispenser machine.

If any members are struggling to download the Club App, please feel free to contact our team, whom are on-hand to assist anytime.

Titleist Demo Sets:

We currently have 3 x new iron sets that have arrived from Titleist, which are the T150, T250 and a T350 (in graphite) models. Please note, these sets are housed in the pro-shop. So, feel free to ask the team to try them out anytime.

New Ladies Apparel:

New FJ ladies apparel has arrived. So, please feel free to check all the latest designs. Also, the team are focused on offering more lady options throughout the year. Which we look forward to introducing each and every season.

New Logo Accessories:

Please note, we have had a shipment of new logo tote bags, putter covers (2 x options), head-covers (3 x options), towels, caps, ball markers etc. Which now compliment our newly renovated pro-shop. So, please feel free to pop-in and take a look.

Winter Promotion (August & September 2025):

The pro-shop staff are excited to offer 12 x Lamkin regular or mid-size grips or Golf Pride (undersize) grips installed on your golf clubs for a total of $165. Please feel free to leave them at the pro-shop after your game. So, we can install and have them ready for you on your next round of golf.

New Men’s & Ladies Locker Locks Upgrade: 
We are also excited to note we have upgraded the locks at both the men’s and ladies locker rooms. Please note, if anyone (members only) want a locker, we now have them priced a lot better at $30.00 till late March 2026. Then it’s a flat $50 per year after that. Also, once you have chosen your locker, we will arrange your name-plate at no extra charge.

So, please email fast and reserve your own private Members locker now (first come, first served).

Lee's Monthly Coaching Tip:

Tip of the Month (Pre-Shot Routine):

A helpful pre-shot tip for golf is to plan our shot before we get to our ball. This involves assessing the yardage, selecting the appropriate club and visualizing the shot while others are playing. Also, keeping our pre-shot routine short and being ready to hit when it's our turn is also key for efficient play.

Below is a more detailed breakdown:

• Plan Ahead:

Before approaching our ball, determine the distance to the target and choose the club we shall use.

• Visualize:

While others are playing, take a moment to visualize the shot we want to hit, including the desired trajectory and landing spot.

• Shorten Our Routine:

Minimize the time we spend over the ball. Pick our line, take one practice swing and then get ready to hit (easy and repeatable).

• Be Ready:

Have our glove on, our club selected and be prepared to play our shot when it's our turn.

• Be Efficient:

After hitting our shot, move promptly to our next one.
