August marks an exciting new chapter for our golf operations, with the Pro Shop now officially operated in-house by Kurri Bowling Club.
I would like to sincerely thank all of our members for their support over the past 22 years while I have operated the Pro Shop under contract. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as Club Professional and am pleased to continue working with our members in my new role as Golf Operations Manager, and the Club as we move into this next chapter.
While the structure behind the scenes has changed, members should notice very little change to the day-to-day operation of the Pro Shop. With existing pro shop staff continuing as employees of Kurri Bowling Club, so you will continue to see the same familiar faces.
In my new role I will continue to be the main point of contact for members for all golf-related matters, including the Pro Shop, competitions, golf bookings and general golf operations. 
Bringing the Pro Shop in-house is an exciting step forward for golf at Kurri. Importantly, our members will continue to have the familiar faces, knowledge and service they are accustomed to, while allowing us to bring our golf operations together under one Club structure.
Thank you to all of our members for your continued support throughout the transition. There is plenty happening across golf at Kurri, and we are excited about this next chapter and what lies ahead.

CLUBHOUSE REFURBISHMENT APPROVED
We are pleased to advise that the Board has approved the commencement of the clubhouse refurbishment.
Works are expected to begin by the end of August. This is an exciting step towards creating a more welcoming and enjoyable clubhouse for our members and guests.
Further information about the project, including any temporary changes that may affect members, will be provided as the works progress.
We look forward to keeping members updated and sharing the progress as the refurbishment takes shape.

COURSE UPDATE & GREENS RENOVATION
We would like to extend a very warm welcome to our new Golf Superintendent, Nathan Reynolds.
Nathan brings more than 20 years of experience in golf course management and greenkeeping to Kurri and has already made a wonderful impression since joining the Club. His experience, knowledge and enthusiasm are a great addition, and we are excited to have him leading the care and presentation of our course.
We are also pleased to announce that Michael O’Neill has stepped into the role of 2IC Greenkeeper, working closely alongside Nathan. Together with our greenkeeping staff, we have a strong team in place and look forward to seeing the course continue to develop over the coming months.
GREENS RENOVATION UNDERWAY
Our scheduled greens renovation is underway today, Monday 24 August, with the course closed for the day to allow Nathan, Michael, the greenkeeping team and our volunteers full access to safely complete the works.
Greens renovation is an important part of maintaining the long-term health, condition and playability of our greens, and we appreciate the understanding of members while this essential work is carried out.
Tuesday 25 August: The first nine holes will reopen for the Medley competition, with players completing the nine holes twice for the 18-hole competition.
Wednesday 26 August: The full 18-hole course will reopen for play.
A big thank you to Nathan, Michael, our greenkeeping team and, importantly, the members who have volunteered their time today to assist with the renovations. Your support and contribution to the course are greatly appreciated.

Harry has been enjoying some great results recently and is travelling to the South Coast to compete in the NSW Associate Championship at Tura Beach.
We wish Harry the very best for the Championship and look forward to following his results.
When he returns, Harry will be available for golf lessons. Keep an eye on his calendar for the opportunity to book a lesson and work on your game with Harry.
