The campaign to identify the Club's permanent General Manager has proceeded well, with applications having closed on 6 March. We had 121 applications from a broad cross-section of people. The initial list of applicants has been reduced to a shortlist for interview.
Interviews will be conducted shortly with the hope of reaching a decision by mid-April. Matt Shannon has been asked to remain in the interim role until such time as the permanent appointee is identified. I should also add that Matt Shannon is among the applicants to be interviewed.
A sub-committee of the Board was created to assist in this process and we invited Andrew Gardiner and David Gordon to join the committee, along with Renay McParland and me. Roles such as this place demands on Members well beyond simple enjoyment of the Club's facilities and we are indebted to Andrew and David for their contribution and leadership of the committee.
