As announced recently, Magenta Shores are hosting the Australian Women’s Classic from March 5th to 8th, next year. You will recall that in March 2024 we hosted the NSW Women’s Open for a three day competition.
Needless to say that very successful event could not have happened without the huge support of an army of volunteers, backed up by the Golf team and James and his team.
As volunteer coordinator I received amazing support from everyone – including local residents and folk from other clubs and the community. In all we had just on 150 people helping over the 3 days.
Now next year it will be bigger and better than ever – a national competition running over 4 days and again featuring top lady golfers from LET Europe, plus top Aussie locals.
So we will need your support, plus of course you will have the opportunity to see some amazing golf at our own course. Many of the LET players have already booked again with their host families at Magenta and so you’ll also have the opportunity to meet them socially at Magenta.
As before there will be roles for everyone, suited to all – as we did last time.
Please now keep the dates on your calendar – March 5 to 8 next Year.
In early January we will be sending out a volunteer registration form to members, members of other Central Coast clubs and residents. We have an active local promotional campaign planned.
Our plans are well in hand and the Committee consists of Matt Shannon, James Newell, Grieg Newberry, Renay and myself. Billeting is being handled by Marg Sanger. As we move forward, please contact any of us with questions and/or suggestions.
