Further to my message circulated last Wednesday regarding Paul Riley’s resignation as General Manager, the Board now provides an update to Members on the Club’s management arrangements. We are pleased to share that Club director Matt Shannon has offered to act, and has been appointed, as Interim General Manager of Magenta Shores Golf & Country Club, effective 1st October 2025. Matt will serve as Interim General Manager until 31st March 2026, and during that time will stand aside from his role as director. For good governance, the Board will commence a full market search for a permanent General Manager early in the new year, supported by an external recruitment firm. Paul’s final day as General Manager will be Tuesday 30th September 2025, with a handover taking place in the coming days to ensure a smooth transition. Matt had originally intended to stand for the position of Men’s Captain at the upcoming AGM. However, in order to support the Club as Interim General Manager, he has relinquished that opportunity and will not now be a candidate for Captaincy. We are grateful that John Wylie has kindly offered to stand for re-election as Men’s Captain, alongside any other nominees who may wish to put themselves forward in accordance with the nomination process. On behalf of the Board, we again thank Paul for his service and contribution to the Club, and we look forward to working closely with Matt as we continue to build the Club’s stability and progress. Peter Gaydon On behalf of the Board
