The Board held our monthly meeting on Wednesday May 28.
The Club remains in a good financial position and budgets are currently being reviewed for the upcoming financial year.
We have received information that MSGM has gone into administration and your Board is working to look after the Club’s position in dealings with insolvency practitioners.
Our General Manager, Paul Riley has been organising a new ball dispenser machine which should arrive by the end of this month.
Also on order are new golf carts to refresh our current fleet, which should arrive in October.
More new items include lights in the Men’s and Ladies’ locker rooms plus a replacement TV in the members’ lounge, donated by the Magenta Foundation.
The Board welcomes our new employee Baden Le Cornu to the Golf Shop. Baden will be assisting Lee in his tireless efforts in the Golf Shop.
We also welcome Ron Latham as a new Director on the Magenta Foundation Board.
Members have been enjoying the wonderful sand based Magenta course in this current very wet weather. This is a tribute to our wonderful course staff led by James Newell. Magenta was open when so many courses were unplayable from the Hawkesbury to Newcastle.
Welcome to our new members who have been approved by the Board:

Reciprocal Club: “Sands Torquay” have confirmed a new reciprocal agreement which is immediately active.
The Board’s thanks go out again to those members who have assisted our transition into running the Golf Club, particularly Claire Martin and Greg Buchanan and I must mention the endless hours that Peter Gaydon, our Chairman, and Tony Slater have contributed to the changeover.
