Welcome to the September update,  Golf Australia are introducing a new GolfLink system which will be known as Golf Connect, 
Sept 28 Sunday
•	10pm AEST - GOLF Link permanently shuts down. 
•	The Golf Australia CONNECT VMS platform will be closed from 9pm AEST until October 2 to allow for essential works. 
•	All your members’ handicap history and scoring records will start transferring across to the new platform. 
Sept 29– Oct 1 (offline period): 
•	Handicap services offline – no score submissions. 
•	Current GA Handicap App and golf.org.au handicap lookup remain view-only. 
•	Handicaps will be recalculated to align with World Handicap System changes.
Oct 1: Wednesday 
•	Major transition day for both websites and handicap services. 
•	We recommend avoiding the use of websites and handicap services today, and checking back once the new system goes live on 2 October. 
Oct 2: 
•	New Golf Australia App available to download in your app store. 
•	New golfer portal live at GOLF.com.au. 
•	Members’ recalculated handicaps available. Most golfers will see a small change, projected to be less than 0.5 strokes on average. Some players may see a bigger adjustment based on their unique scoring history.  
October 2-10: 
•	Clubs start to come online
Golf Australia CONNECT will go live to golfers and golf organisations from Thursday October 2. 
MIClub Membership 
From October 1st we will be transitioning our Membership software from our existing MSL product to the MiClub membership module, main points are
Keep your current Golf Link Number to be known as Golf ID, Keep your current Member Number to Login to members portal, Use your Bowling Club Card to access Member Discounts and Prize account at Bar Terminals.
Pay by the Month Members will be notified early in October as to new arrangements for Bank Details, as we can not transfer details from 1 system to another a new agreement needs to be signed by each member.
Prize vouchers to stay at 4 months time limit, on the 4 month anniversary will be forfeited and no longer available to the member. No Reinstatements allowed.If you win a Prize Voucher on the 4th October it will expire on the 4th February 2026. With more options to use your prizes no excuses for letting them lapse.
All current Prizes will transfer from VM to MiClub Membership module on the 1st October and will have a new expiry period of 4 mths from that time. 
Prize vouchers won by members can be redeemed at any Swiftpos Terminal in the 2 venues. Pro Shop, Club Bar, Bowling Club Bar, Bowling Club Bistro
Prize Vouchers won by Members can no longer be redeemed in the Proshop and kept as a credit on a their proshop account. 
Prize Vouchers must be spent on services or goods only. 
Ball Prize accounts remain the same and can only be redeemed in the Pro Shop for Balls.
Current Pro Shop Accounts will be Transfered to a new account in the MiClub Members Portal and can only be used at the ProShop terminal. Available while ever you are a member at Kurri Golf Club.
 

Club Championships 2025
Following on from last year’s success, and electric atmosphere around the club that was generated by playoffs, the dates for the 2025 Club Championships are as follows:
Saturday, 11 October 2025
Round 1: 	Cost $30.00	
Saturday, 18 October 2025
Round 2: 	Cost $23.00	
Saturday, 25 October 2025
Final Round (Seeded Draw): Cost $23.00	
Please Be Advised the Final Round will again be a Seeded Draw:
It is mandatory that the Top 4 Players from each grade (both Men’s and Ladies’) play at the allocated seeded draw time slots for the Final Round on 25 October 2025.
The leading four scratch scores from each grade after the first two rounds will qualify for these time slots. 
Players must play at their allocated times to remain eligible to win the 54 Hole Scratch Championship for Overall / Each Grade, respectively.
The seeded draw is designed to restore prestige to our feature event, creating a viewing spectacle around the 18th green for all spectators.
The mandatory seeded draw tee times are as follows:
Ladies
11:18 am – Division 3* (Pending number - TBC prior to Round 1)
11:26 am – Division 2
11:34 am – Division 1
Men’s
11:42 am – C Grade
11:50 am – B Grade
11:58 am – A Grade
Qualified players will be contacted on Sunday or Monday following Round 2 to confirm their allocated seeded draw tee time.
Playoff Format:
In the event of a tie for any 54-hole scratch championship, a three-hole aggregate playoff will be held on the 10th, 11th, and 12th holes. 
If ties persist, a sudden-death format will then continue on the 10th and 18th holes until a winner is determined.
If you are not in the seeded draw and manage to get yourself in a position to be in a playoff – Keep an eye on the scores through the day as it is your responsibility to be present at the club and ready to go extra holes if required.

3D Iron Fitting Philosophy

Distance Control
We look to maximise carry distance while maintaining an even and consistent 5mph gap in ball speed between clubs. This prevents you from carrying two clubs that do the same job or playing a club with so much distance variance that you can’t play it with confidence.

Dispersion Control
We analyse your shot pattern and compare options to ensure your results fall into the tightest and most predictable range of outcomes possible. The goal here is to make sure your clubs are doing their part in getting you closer to the hole.

Descent Angle
With every iron, you need to consistently launch your ball high enough to bring it down steep enough to hold the green. Many players are surprised to hear that their irons should all ideally reach a similar peak height to produce the descent angles you need to score with every club.
