Welcome to the September newsletter, The winter is finally over and of course that means our Winter Challenge has been run and won, for the second time, Neil Day and Stephen McAllister were far to good winning by 1/2 a shot to Luke Brown and Brad McInnes, a further 3/4 shot back in 3rd was father and son duo Mark Lauder and Dean Lauder. Congratulations to the winners and Prize vouchers have been attached to your Pro Shop accounts. Keno Qualifying was completed as well and the successful teams are Men  1 - Dean Lauder and Mark Lauder  2 - Jason Cleare and Nicholas Cleare  Ladies  Vicky Teichman and Teresa Peachy Mixed Janelle Endacott and Tom Bremner
Golf Australia are introducing a new GolfLink system which will be known as Golf Connect, Golf Australia CONNECT will go live to golfers and golf organisations from Thursday October 2. The new website and new app will be made available for Download and we have a couple of our hard working Golf Committee members learning the ropes and will be on hand to help with those tasks.
At the same time we will be transitioning our Membership software from our existing MSL product to the MiClub membership module, this will work in with the MiClub Golf Competition module which we have been using since August 2024. Plans are in place to go live on October 1 as well and to allow our membership to integrate with the Bowling club member system the member number assigned to the Bowling Club system will become the main member number. Your Golflink number will remain the same and will not change in any of the new systems. Any members who have not recieved your new member card please contact us in the ProShop and we can sort it for you, some members may need to sign a new form to update our records with Driver License numbers and Privacy Documents.
September is a huge month for our club staff and committee so please be patient as we install and Go Live with the new systems.

Club Championships 2025
Following on from last year’s success, and electric atmosphere around the club that was generated by playoffs, the dates for the 2025 Club Championships are as follows:
Saturday, 11 October 2025
Round 1: 	Cost $30.00	
Saturday, 18 October 2025
Round 2: 	Cost $23.00	
Saturday, 25 October 2025
Final Round (Seeded Draw): Cost $23.00	
Please Be Advised the Final Round will again be a Seeded Draw:
It is mandatory that the Top 4 Players from each grade (both Men’s and Ladies’) play at the allocated seeded draw time slots for the Final Round on 25 October 2025.
The leading four scratch scores from each grade after the first two rounds will qualify for these time slots. 
Players must play at their allocated times to remain eligible to win the 54 Hole Scratch Championship for Overall / Each Grade, respectively.
The seeded draw is designed to restore prestige to our feature event, creating a viewing spectacle around the 18th green for all spectators.
The mandatory seeded draw tee times are as follows:
Ladies
11:18 am – Division 3* (Pending number - TBC prior to Round 1)
11:26 am – Division 2
11:34 am – Division 1
Men’s
11:42 am – C Grade
11:50 am – B Grade
11:58 am – A Grade
Qualified players will be contacted on Sunday or Monday following Round 2 to confirm their allocated seeded draw tee time.
Playoff Format:
In the event of a tie for any 54-hole scratch championship, a three-hole aggregate playoff will be held on the 10th, 11th, and 12th holes. 
If ties persist, a sudden-death format will then continue on the 10th and 18th holes until a winner is determined.
If you are not in the seeded draw and manage to get yourself in a position to be in a playoff – Keep an eye on the scores through the day as it is your responsibility to be present at the club and ready to go extra holes if required.
2 Man Ambrose Championships 2025
Rules: 
• Lowest players handicap will determine which grade your team will play in. 
• Minimum of 6 x Tee Shots Per Person to be used per round. 
• Both players may place the ball within 30cm from where the original ball was marked (No Nearer The Hole).
• Ball on the green must be placed within 15cm of the marked ball (No Nearer The Hole).
Rounds & Entry Fee:
Round 1: 	Saturday, 20 September 2025 — $25.00
Round 2: 	Saturday, 27 September 2025 — $25.00

3D Iron Fitting Philosophy

Distance Control
We look to maximise carry distance while maintaining an even and consistent 5mph gap in ball speed between clubs. This prevents you from carrying two clubs that do the same job or playing a club with so much distance variance that you can’t play it with confidence.

Dispersion Control
We analyse your shot pattern and compare options to ensure your results fall into the tightest and most predictable range of outcomes possible. The goal here is to make sure your clubs are doing their part in getting you closer to the hole.

Descent Angle
With every iron, you need to consistently launch your ball high enough to bring it down steep enough to hold the green. Many players are surprised to hear that their irons should all ideally reach a similar peak height to produce the descent angles you need to score with every club.
